Proceeds from the Champions of Health awards program benefit the Oklahoma Caring Foundation, Inc., a 501c3 organization providing basic health care needs to Oklahoma children.

The Oklahoma Caring Foundation is dedicated to improving the health of Oklahomans through efforts that provide children access to preventive health services. Through its flagship program, the Oklahoma Caring Van Program, basic childhood immunizations are provided to Oklahoma children through partnerships with child care providers, schools and community organizations. The Caring Van Program is designed to provide free immunizations to children in families who cannot access traditional immunization providers due to barriers including transportation, cost and time.

Through the efforts of dedicated staff and committed funders, the Oklahoma Caring Van Program has delivered more than 152,000 vaccines to 70,000 underserved children statewide since 1999. Improving health outcomes is the focus of van services and the Caring Vans are a true public health endeavor: meeting families where they live and work. Children are our greatest resource and we owe it to them to ensure that they will have their basic health needs addressed.
